Symphonic Band

The Texas Christian University has developed a tradition of outstanding performances and recordings of high quality repertoire. Members include a mixture of music majors and additional fine musicians from across the TCU campus. Under the direction of Brian Youngblood, the curriculum also focuses upon offering the students wind music of artistic and historical significance. Repertoire selections include works on the Texas UIL 4A and 5A list. Through rehearsal and performance of this range of repertoire, students are exposed to a wide variety of compositional techniques, rehearsal processes and expressive possibilities. Symphonic Band is offered during the fall and spring semester.
