Welcome to the Texas Christian University Bands. The TCU Bands are a vital part of campus life at Texas Christian University. Members of the bands come from all academic disciplines with in the University and, in fact a major portion of the membership in the various bands at TCU comes from outside the Department of Music. This diverse mixture of people and interests provides a truly unique environment found in few campus organizations. The music, games, trips, and memories you make with your fellow band members will be with you a lifetime. The TCU Bands have a long and distinguished tradition of excellence and accomplishment spanning nearly a century. Membership in the bands carries with it a significant responsibility to uphold and continue that tradition. It involves dedication, achievement, and hard work. There is always a place in the TCU Bands for anyone who exhibits these important qualities. If pride, excellence, hard work, friendship, and teamwork interest you, the TCU Bands are for you. History - The Texas Christian University Bands possess a prestigious history dating back to its inception in 1921 under the direction of J.E. King.
